Dumping all day every day

Good thing I've been riding yesterday, as it's snowing as hell right now. Started yesterday, snowing probably won't stop that soon. Check the predictions:

First Day of Riding Whistler

Been out riding today. My roommate Jamie showed me around. It is pretty sweet. No pow at the moment but snow is really soft. Last days were bluebird. There were some clouds today, but at least not -20° like the days before. In addition because of the clouds it wasn't crowded today though it is weekend.

On the last run I hung up on my front edge, fell to the front and heard my shoulder cracked. God I was so afraid of breaking my collarbone again. But no pain so far, so I'm good. Would have been thaaat bad on my first day of riding.
This is a shot form the peak 2 peak gondola, connecting the Blackcomb with the Whistler mountain. No good weather but at least a photo for you guys back home in Germany.

Getting things done..... Part 2

Today everything worked out, kinda relieved. Got my mobile set up, got a Season Pass now and will move over to the place I planned to stay at first. Won't have WiFi there, only mobile internet, but thats nothing to complain about.

Check the weather, that's how my day worked out today.

Thanks for all the support from home, guys :D

Getting things done..... NOT

Plan for today was getting things done. Didn't work out. Got into Whistler Village, kind of the Centre. Went into a bank, but have to wait till Friday to get a bank account. Then figured out that the mobile providers are way more expensive than I thought. Afterwards wanted to get my Whistler Season Pass. Neither that worked cause of my Credit Card.
Tomorrow I will have to take the bus to Squamish which is about an hour away in order to get my Social Insurance Number. Other option would be to wait in Whistler until the third Wednesday of the month, so that would be March 16th.

And I gotta look for a job.

Missing you guys back home. :D

Last years Olympic Games are all around you in Whistler

Arrived.. finally

Got to a place to stay at about 11:30 pm yesterday. By then I was awake and travelling for about 27 hours. And I didn't even sleep where I planned. But waking up with this view this morning it was worth all that.

Life stuffed into 3 bags

Things are packed and I'm on the flight to Frankfurt. Bye, bye Hamburg!

Update 1122: chillin at Frankfurt now. Gonna board soon. Hamburg from above was beautiful today. A wonderful last moment but I unfortunately couldn't manage to get a Pic.

Update 0050 CET: After arriving at Vancouver I had to wait in line at the immigration for about an hour. Didn't matter though. I haven't seen many airports, but Vancouver Airport is by far the most beautiful. There is free WiFi EVERYWHERE with perfect connection!! And the people... it is amazing how nice, friendly and caring they are.
Have to wait for 1 1/2 hours now for my bus to Whistler. Gonna be there at 08:30 local time.
Check out the photos!

Vancouver from above. Ain't it beautiful?

Highlights of Air & Style Munich 2011

Spin to Win Time again. But at least the judges focused on super clean tricks, as the not perfectly though sticked 1440 of Seppe Smits scored only about 37 points.
In addition the sick Nike 6.0 Stairset provided variations after the big air.
Watch the true highlights of the Air & Style Munich 2011 below. Nils Arvidsson stepping the game up by adding shifty-shiftys to his 1260ies and Halldor.. well just take a look

He calls it the Lobster Flip.

Not far away from home there is this huuuge icy surface.

Departure is near

Bought the tickets yesterday. Clock is ticking. Things are getting serious now.
On the 22nd I will leave Hamburg for Whistler/Vancouver. There will be daily updates on this blog by then. So stay tuned.
